EuroDreams rules: play slip, prize tiers and probabilities
Launched in November 2023, EuroDreams stands out for a top prize paid as a monthly annuity: €20,000 a month for 30 years. Understanding exactly how the game works is the first step towards a reasoned approach.
The EuroDreams play slip in a few points
On your slip you mark 6 numbers in the number field (1 to 40) and then 1 number in the “N°Dream” field (1 to 5). In France the slip must be validated before 8.15 pm on the day of the draw, online at fdj.fr or at your FDJ retailer. Multiple lines also exist, letting you mark up to 10 numbers and 5 N°Dreams: the system then generates every corresponding single line.
The 6 prize tiers
EuroDreams has six prize tiers. The first two are monthly annuities; the others are amounts that vary with the number of players in the draw.

What makes the tier 1 annuity special
Tier 1 does not work like a classic jackpot: the prize is an annuity of €20,000 a month for 30 years, paid to the winner, i.e. €7.2m in total. That prize is however capped at three winning lines per draw (across all participating countries). If more than three players find the winning combination in the same draw, the sum of €21.6m (3 × €7.2m) is shared between them and paid out in one go, rather than as an annuity.
Tier 2 works on the same principle: €2,000 a month for 5 years, i.e. €120,000 in total.
The probabilities, tier by tier
To work out the exact probabilities you have to count the total number of possible lines: choosing 6 numbers out of 40, i.e. 3,838,380 combinations, multiplied by the 5 possible values of the N°Dream. There are therefore exactly 19,191,900 different EuroDreams lines. The probability of any given line is always 1 in 19,191,900: no line is “better” than another.
| Tier | Condition | Probability |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 6 correct numbers + the correct N°Dream | 1 in 19,191,900 |
| 2 | 6 correct numbers (N°Dream missed) | 1 in 4,797,975 |
| 3 | 5 correct numbers | 1 in 18,816 |
| 4 | 4 correct numbers | 1 in 456 |
| 5 | 3 correct numbers | 1 in 32 |
| 6 | 2 correct numbers | 1 in 6 |
In all, about 21.5 % of lines (roughly one in five) win at least something, from the €2.50 refund up to tier 1. The amounts for tiers 3 to 6 are not fixed: they depend on the number of winners and on how many people played in each draw.
How to play, step by step
Mark 6 numbers of your choice from the 40 on offer.
Add your N°Dream: a single number out of the 5.
Validate before 8.15 pm, on Monday or Thursday, online or at an FDJ sales point.
Check the results after the draw on our EuroDreams results.
Why analyse the statistics?
Statistics do not change the probability of a line, but they help you build balanced combinations and avoid the biased choices most players make (birthdays, runs, shapes). Discover our six-rule method, or use the line generator.
Frequently asked questions about the EuroDreams rules
Can you really win €20,000 a month for 30 years?
Yes: in tier 1 (6 correct numbers + the correct N°Dream), the winner receives an annuity of €20,000 a month for 30 years, i.e. €7.2m in total. That prize is however limited to 3 winners per draw: beyond that, the sum of €21.6m is shared between the winners and paid out in one go.
What days and times are the EuroDreams draws?
EuroDreams draws take place on Monday and Thursday evenings. In France, a line must be validated before 8.15 pm on the day of the draw; the results are published around 9 pm.
How much does a EuroDreams line cost?
A single line costs €2.50: you mark 6 numbers out of the 40 on offer and 1 N°Dream out of the 5.
What is the probability of winning tier 1 in EuroDreams?
1 chance in 19,191,900, because there are exactly 19,191,900 possible lines (a combination of 6 numbers out of 40 multiplied by the 5 N°Dreams). That is roughly 7 times more favourable than tier 1 in EuroMillions.
Does the N°Dream count for every prize tier?
No. The N°Dream only decides tiers 1 and 2. From tier 3 onwards (5 correct numbers), only the number of correct numbers among the 6 drawn matters.
